Rethinking wearing Jeans....

Hmmm...not sure what to say.  But every now and again, I wear something that I feel makes me look smaller.  Now last week we had a function for the Arthritis Foundation, and in my true lazy form, I just wore jeans and a hoodie.  After seeing some of the pictures from the event, I was HORRIFIED!  What I say in the picture certainly did not match with what I thought and in all honesty, I looked like I was getting fatter! LOL!

So today, I decided to wear a dress to work.  The weather is rather nice here in Cali.  My personal opinion of this dress is that it is figure flattering.  I find it does a great job and hiding my hips!  So I ponder...Maybe Jeans are not a good clothing choice for me?  Maybe I need more dresses in my wardrobe?  Hmmm....So much to think about.

I've been naughty...

I got up this morning with the intent of finishing off my Christmas shopping.  My to do list consisted of Hallmark and Target, so I was gonna head to the Fox Hill mall in Culver City.  That I did, and suddenly all things went wrong!

I am in JcPenney's buying clothes, some for myself some for others.  Then I go to the car to unload, and I am back in the mall and now I am in Torrid.  And then things went really wrong!  I had my eye on a pair of boots from there and everything in the store, was buy one get one 1/2 off.  I fell in love with the boots, and the sales person Cesar, Insisted that I got some skinny jeans to go with the boots.  I had my normal discussion with him about me and skinny jeans...but like I said, He Insisted!   And off I went to the dressing room and then I went to try on the boots with the jeans...and Cesar was so so excited!  And...well so was I!  I was actually liking what I saw in the mirror!  I was shocked.  Little Cesar knows what he's talking about!  Ya wanna see the dressing room shot?  Do ya?

Well it didn't end there!  After Torrid, I am now in Ashley Stewart! LOL!  As I walked into Ashley Stewart the lady at the register says to me, looks like you cleaned up in Torrid.  I said yea, I did!  Then she goes well everything here is 40% off! I said to her, ya know, its funny cause I came in this mall to go to Hallmark & Target to get Christmas cards and I have yet to make my way into either one of those stores!  So a sweater and a dress later...I am finally in Hallmark!  And well it has been an expensive few hours at the mall.  It will be Ramen noodles for lunch and dinner this week!  

Breakfast Babblings!

I am here at work sitting at my desk and I said, I should blog! :0)

I made a new breakfast concoction today.  I have not thought of a cool name for it yet.  It is 4 hard boiled eggs...egg whites only, some pastrami from Trader Joes and some salsa.  It is some really good eats, It may not sound good, but it is oh so yummy going down!  I just cut everything up the best I could with my plastic fork and knife and digged in!  I love it!  The Pastrami is a nice change from my normal, ham or bacon for breakfast!  Pastrami may just be my new breakfast meat!

The holidays are right around the corner! I am actually excited!  Christmas is my favorite time of year!  That being sad in December I have Christmas parties to attend!  So yesterday while browsing the internet, I think found and order my Christmas Party dress!  Wanna See?

I can't wait for it to arrive!  I am excited I think its cute.  Gotta find some shoes for it!  Okay, I gotta run!  Blog with ya later!

Slipped Away Again...

It's already Wednesday and I have posted nothing nice Monday!  Oops!

Well Sunday started PMS week, so the events of the week have been pretty uneventful.  Monday afterwork I got home.  Laid down on my heating pad in hopes to bring some relief to my ever so painful back pain.  I don't know what it is but, my back pain during my time of hte month is worse than the actual cramps! 

I got no physical activity in on Monday or Tuesday, But I will be going to the gym today.  The weather is nice again here in California, so I think its time for some outdoor walking and events!   It should be nice this weekend also so I think a venture to the beach would be in order!

My Nordstrom Denim skirt came on Friday!  The skirt actually fits..I am truly shocked.  But I have to overcome my own perceived self image.  Even though the skirt fits, I don't like how it looks on me.  So the skirt is on a hangar, awaiting my final decision, shall I keep it, or should I return it?  I will have to take a picture and post it.  Sigh. 

I am thinking about taking water aerobics!  I told myself last year that at some point I wanted to build up the nerve to try it.  There is a community offered class at West L.A. College, that I may just venture out and try.  There is a class starting late February and another starting in April.  Not sure which I will enroll, but I think I am gonna give a go. 

Sorry for the random ramblings on this post, but that is pretty much all that I have been up to this week.  Hopefully I can get back unto my daily postings like I should be!  Talk to you later.

Optimistically Shopping...

I have been searching the internet high and low since starting my diet, for things I would love to wear as I continue to lose weight.  I openly admit, that I have a long list of items, and website links of items I want to buy.  Well on Friday, I made a big leap and bought one of them.

I am borderline cheap.  I have been waiting a denim skirt for many many years.  I had severals years back, but I gave them all away, and I have been having seperation anxiety ever since.  There is a denim skirt at Nordstroms, that I want...but...It is $85.  Which for me...is a bit high.  I normally wouldnt spend that kind of money on 1 clothing item, but guess what I did!  Thanks to the help of my friend Sharon.  She had gotten a Nordstroms gift card for Christmas, and she gave it to me!  Yah!  I honestly don't think I would have bought the skirt if it weren't for the gift card!

Are you wondering where the optimistic shopping part comes in?  Get ready...I ordered the skirt in a size 18!  I am in no way a size 18.  Right now I am in a size 22, but I compared the size chart at Nordstroms with the charts at JcPenney, Lane Bryant, and Avenue...and I would have probably needed a size 20.  Hey, I have a couple of months until summer rolls in...I can drop a skirt size in a couple of months!  Let's git her done!  LOL!

Lane Bryant Jeans: RETIRED!!!

I made the executive decision today that is was time to retire my jeans.  I had such a hard time with them today.  They are noticeably big in the waist and legs.  I attempted to take some pictures which are below.  It's really hard taking pictures of yourself.

Sporting New Summer Dress

Well I made this dress purchase online last year from this plus size store in England.  Yes England!  I thought it was a cute dress and the price was very cheap, the only downside was waiting for shipping!  It took like a month.  But anywho, when I got hte dress, it didn't fit, it was too tight.  So today, my friends, I pulled out the dress and put it on.    So I ran into the bathroom at work so I can get a full length shot of the dress.  I like it, I know its awfully bold of me to wear horizontal zig zag stripes across my hips, but I don't care!  I like the dress and I will wear it.  Of course I think it would be so much cuter if my hips were smaller, and gosh darn it, one day they will be!

Searching for Sale Saturday (June 11th)

Yup...searching for sales, that is how I spent most of my Saturday.  I am still on the hunt of furniture for my bedroom.  I was beginning to regret the fact that I gave away my old set!  I'm in my new place for about a month and had no where to put my clothes.  It was really driving me nuts. 

Friday after work I search in Torrance.  Drove up and down Hawthorne Blvd.  Didn't find any bedroom furniture that I like.  But I found a writing desk & a filing cabinet that I liked so I got those on Friday. So Saturday off I went furniture hunting again.  And after about 3 or 4 place...I drove over to Rent A Center.  And Walla...I found a set for a very very good price!  $580 for Dresser with mirrow, chest, 2 night stands, and a headboard!  It will be delivered on Tuesday!  I am so excited!  That is a picture of the Bedroom Set to the left! 


Then I had a coupon for Bath & Body Works...so I went there.  Stocked up on Wallflowers, room sprays, and handsoap for the bathroom.  I love that place and that stuff especially when things are on sale and when I have a $10 off coupon!

Then I went to the Avenue...long story short, they have some really nice summer dresses!  I got 2! 

So While I am here, I may was well post my eatings for hte day.  I did not update my food journal, but its was probably a high calorie day.
